Registration and Enrollment
Only students within the ODIN member districts may enroll for courses in the ODIN system. Students shall meet with their local district representative (counselor) to determine whether the online course will meet graduation requirements. If an online course is not completed within the specified time period, the student will receive the grade of F.
Students who wish to enroll in ODIN courses may contact Diane Fedie difedie@cseced.org or call (952) 368-8850. Notice of student registration shall be completed in full, including verification that the classes meet the student’s graduation plan. Students must have a valid email account before registration.
The student’s home district shall be notified within 10 days of student enrollment.
Students may not enroll for more than two online courses with ODIN without enrolling district approval.
Orientation Activities-- A face-to-face orientation is mandatory for all students and parents to enroll in online courses. The orientation will also include a brief walk-through of the course management system with the student. Students who have completed a prior orientation and online course for ODIN will be exempt from future orientations.
The orientation will include a review of expectations and guidelines to determine if online learning is right for the student. There will be a review of the student’s Continuous Learning Plan (CLP) or Individual Education Plan (IEP) to determine needs for student support from parents/guardian and online instructor.
For students having completed online courses a review will cover: academic progress and success in completed course; selecting future courses; and the online course load the student is capable of handling.
